currently i am trying to embed yarv and use drb for IPC. but therefore
i need the socket extension.

does anyone have experience with recompiling existing ruby extensions
for use with yarv? is it possible to reuse them without much effort -
and if so, what must be done?

i'd appreciate any hints.

PS: isn't there anybody using yarv except for toying around? the list
is so quiet ...
